TV / Radio Host, executive producer, five-time cookbook author

A public television fixture for more than 25 years, George Hirsch is the host and executive producer of several groundbreaking cooking, lifestyle series and specials on syndicated, public television, PBS, PBS Passport, and Create TV.

In 1994 he was the first to take a cooking series outside of the confines of the studio. In the Fall of 2021 in partnership with The WNET Group’s NPR WLIW-FM George Hirsch Lifestyle Radio, a one-hour, weekly public radio program was released featuring informative conversations about food and culture.

A certified executive chef and culinary educator, George has authored five cookbooks about grilling and outdoor cooking, indoor cooking and techniques, and attaining and maintaining a healthy lifestyle with food.

With his latest public TV and radio series George Hirsch Lifestyle and George Hirsch Lifestyle Radio, premiered in Fall 2021 with NPR’s WLIW-FM.
